Data retention policy
Email for Slack will retain Customer Data in accordance with the following policy:
1. User and team information: Retained for the duration of the account's active status. Upon account deletion, this data will be removed within 30 days.
2. Usage data (e.g., email counts): Retained for 12 months for billing and analytical purposes.
Data archiving and removal policy
Upon receiving a deletion request from a user or team admin, all associated personal data will be removed within 30 days. Users can request immediate deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting [email protected].
Data storage policy
Email for Slack will store Customer Data in accordance with the following policy:
1. All data is stored in secure, encrypted databases hosted on Cloudflare.
2. User and team information is stored for the duration of the account's active status.
3. No customer data is stored locally or on physical servers managed by SlackEmails.
4. All data transfers occur over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS).

Data deletion request procedure
When someone requests to delete personal data, we:
1. Verify the requester's identity.
2. Locate all associated personal data in our systems.
3. Delete the data from our primary database within 30 days.
4. Remove data from backups within 90 days.
5. Notify sub-processors to delete relevant data.
6. Provide instructions for Slack app uninstallation if applicable.
7. Send a confirmation email once deletion is complete.
8. Maintain a record of the deletion request for compliance.
If full deletion isn't possible due to legal or technical reasons, we inform the user and ensure the data is no longer actively processed.
